I have lived in Lincolnshire all my life, being born in Louth, moving to Skellingthorpe in 2019.
I taught science at William Farr school, for over 30 years retiring in 2002. I also worked part time as a Youth leader at the Youth Centre in the school grounds. I have served on a number of committees, being Youth Centre management committee, Welton Age Concern, Education Business Partnership and for a few years ran the Young Enterprise scheme in conjunction with other school staff.
I was a magistrate on Lincoln Bench before retiring again in 2002.
Being fully retired I enjoy a variety of DIY and gardening. I have recently joined the Parish Council and I believe we have a village to be proud of. I will work to improve and develop any aspect of the village, where the need is identified, and hope to serve the community well.
