Lynda Skinner RFO Parish Clerk

I was born in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey but have also lived in Kent. I moved to Lincolnshire in 1970 living in Saxilby until 1979 when I moved to Kent.  I moved back to Lincolnshire in 1987 living in Waddington and Lincoln and for the past five years I have lived in Skellingthorpe to be near my son and grandchildren.  I started working for the Parish Council as Parish Clerk/RFO in May 2015 which has introduced me to many residents and village life and have found this extremely rewarding.  All my working life has been spent in accounts offices whether it be in retail or commercial sectors.

In my spare time I do much travelling both in this Country and abroad and have visited many lovely places around the world.  I also like visiting stately homes and gardens as I am a National Trust and English Heritage member.  I am a member of Skellingthorpe Village Choir singing in the soprano section, I am also a member of the Friends of RAF Skellingthorpe (Home of 50 & 61 Squadrons)   I am a member of the Committee at Skellingthorpe Age Concern luncheon club which I enjoy very much.  What spare time that is left I work as a  volunteer at RAF Metheringham Museum.  So I can say I live a very full and active life.
